Peace through Brokenness

Jeremiah 31:31-34……

31 “The days are coming,” declares the Lord, “when I will make a new covenant with the people of Israel and with the people of Judah. 32 It will not be like the covenant I made with their ancestors when I took them by the hand to lead them out of Egypt, because they broke my covenant, though I was a husband to them,” declares the Lord. 33 “This is the covenant I will make with the people of Israel after that time,” declares the Lord. “I will put my law in their minds and write it on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people. 34 No longer will they teach their neighbor, or say to one another, ‘Know the Lord,’ because they will all know me, from the least of them to the greatest,” declares the Lord. “For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more.”

Healing brokenness is a powerful and transformative journey that invites individuals to confront their deepest wounds and move towards wholeness. It is a process that acknowledges the pain and vulnerability that comes from brokenness, whether it be from past traumas, inner struggles, or in this case, a shattered relationship. Healing brokenness entails a courageous exploration of one's emotions, thoughts, and beliefs, allowing for deep self-reflection of our spirit. Through this process, we begin to experience peace which involves finding the strength to face the darkness within and seek the support of others, such as therapists, mentors and spiritual leaders. As brokenness is acknowledged and processed, individuals can begin to experience a sense of relief, forgiveness, and freedom. Through God's grace and intervention, as with His redemptive purpose with His chosen people, brokenness can be transformed into strength, and a renewed sense of purpose. The journey of healing brokenness may be challenging, but it is also incredibly rewarding, leading us towards a more authentic and spirit-filled life.

Prayerful Thought: And it was told that Jesus broke the five loaves of bread and two fishes and gave thanks to feed the five thousand. Afterwards, the disciples picked up twelve basketfuls of pieces that remained. Often in our lives, we find ourselves broken, that Jesus may multiply us in His peace !
